Welcome to the Nature Study Camp organized by Altitude Adventure Holidays which is the perfect amalgamation of beautiful elements of nature and the thrill of adventure. Our team has curated the best scenic landscapes of Purulia – the Gajaburu Hills to organize this exclusive adventure camping, especially for children. At Gajaburu Hills, Purulia, you will find the most appropriate blend of tranquillity, excitement, and adrenaline rush.
Gajaburu Hills is a part of the Ajodhya Hills range of the Purulia district in West Bengal, which is a continuation of the Eastern Ghats in India. Gajaburu Hills is the heart of adventure activities in Bengal along with breathtaking scenic landscapes. When it comes to adventure activities here, it is the best place for rock climbing and other adventure activities. Trust me, this brings you much closer to the mountains from a very early age. From the summit of the Gajaburu Peak, you will get the most promising panoramic views of the Ajodhya landscape with lush greenery everywhere. This is a perfect weekend gateway for adventure and mountain lovers without going to the Himalayas.
Not only this, but the Ajodhya Hills also have a deep connection with mythology. According to the legends of the Hindu mythology, during their exile, Lord Rama and Devi Sita visited Ajodhya Hills and stayed there. The renowned spot Sita-Kunda is believed to be the place where water gushed out because Lord Rama pierced his arrow through the earth’s soil as Devi Sita was thirsty. Even the locality is rich in its tribal culture as well. So every year, during the full moon day of Baisakh, all the tribes of the region – Santhal, Munda, and Bhumij get together for the hunting game of wild animals which is famous as Disum Sendra.
As I always believe that the world of adventure should not be restricted for adults only, it should be for the children as well to discover and explore their outer world. In fact, the early years of a child are believed to be the gateway of opportunity to the world of nature and its beautiful belongings. and what better way to explore these adventurous activities other than participating in this Nature Study Camp?
If your child is 5 years of age and above, then do not miss these 3 days full of adventure and exciting activities that will surely open new gates in their life. This adventure camp is not only full of fun-filled days but also is a great learning opportunity for your little ones that would enable them to explore, introduce them to the world out of their comfort zone, and also learn to find joy in overcoming the odds in their life.
This nature study camp is not just another trip for your child but rather it will be the start to building a lifelong relationship and love for nature and its belongings and also to the beauties of the outer world. Let me convey this important message that this Nature Study Camp is absolutely safe for children from 5 years of age. Experienced instructors will always guide the little ones keeping in mind the safety aspect as well as fun-filled activities. So this camping programme is more likely the perfect amalgamation of adventurous activities, lots of enjoyment, and education for children.
Since the camping is specially curated for the little adventurous souls, it does not mean that their parents will be left behind. The parents and the guardians are also allowed in this Nature Camp and there are also specially curated activities for them as well. This will also enable you to bond deeply with your family through fun-filled adventurous activities and making memories of a lifetime.

Taking a Break from my busy schedule, I set out for Purulia with my little son to attend the Nature study camp organized by Altitude. It is really an outdoor classroom. My goal was to introduce my son to nature and help him to learn about the various known and unknown aspects of the natural world. The target with which I attended the camp was fulfilled, as my son learned and discovered many new things. As a parent , I also gained insight into another aspect of nature. Another notable experience was when I injured my foot at Purulia station, and the members of Altitude took care of me therefore and it"s praiseworthy how they looked after me. Though this camp was organized for kids , the members of Altitude took care of the parents needs and concerns as well. So, I would like to say my overall experience was beyond any experience.- Dipankar Balial
